On Friday 13th May the New Zealand Ambassador to Indonesia, Dr Trevor Matheson, and his wife paid a visit to the New Zealand Independent School in Kemang.
He was formally welcomed with a traditional Maori welcome, a powhiri, onto the Primary Campus. He was entertained by the primary students in an assembly which included both New Zealand Maori and Bahasa Indonesian items. He also toured the campus to see New Zealand Curriculum teaching and learning in action.
Finally Ambassador Matheson visited the Secondary Campus where he was treated to a rousing kapa haka performance by the Secondary students, followed by him giving a short speech and participating in an informative question and answer session.
